Life in the 21st century has become a lot easier with cool innovations and gadgets. Nowadays, we see a number of gadgets that can help you to wirelessly track the most important things in your life.

The other day I wrote an article how you can track your car, Pets and objects such phone, bag and other valuables items. Later I found about the AT&T FamilyMap, which is another similar digital tracking app. So I thought why not write a short review on the app.

It is not a new app released by AT&T. It is quite old now and has been actively working since 2009. The AT&T family locator app is available for Android, iOS, Windows phone, and BlackBerry. As the name suggests, it will help you where your kids are. You can also use it to track your lost or stolen phone.

You would have heard it so many times and let me tell you once again, “The most important things in life are not free”. Same is the case with AT&T FamilyMap subscription. But still AT&T is generous enough to let you try the app for 30 days free trial. During these days you can check the service quality if it is a good suit for your family.

Subscription Charges

Features:

  • Keep track of your kids from your phone, tablet, or computer using the internet access.
  • Set up your own schedule to get alerts by text or email when your kids get home.
  • You can easily locate a lost or stolen phone.
  • Get a detailed report about the location history for each family member.

How it Works?

You can watch the short video with a brief introduction to AT&T Family app locator.

The app uses the latest A-GPS technology (Assisted GPS) to navigate your phone location. You probably would have heard AT&T phones that features A-GPS return the most accurate locations when they have a clear line of sight to GPS satellites. You may ask, What if A-GPS is not accessible everywhere in the US? Well, in that case the att family locator uses cell tower information to provide the most accurate location, which is usually within a few hundred yards of the phone’s actual location. The tower signals technique also supports non A-GPS phones.

You can visit the official site for more info and details on how to use the app.

I hope you like the features it offers for the price. Do let us know and share you thoughts on what you think? If you’ve found my app review useful, feel free to share it with your friends who is more concerned about his family.
