Download and Install TWRP for Galaxy S7 Edge

Pre-requisites:

  • Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge supported models are SM-G935F, SM-G935FD, SM-G935X, SM-G935W8.
  • Download Odin available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
  • Download and install Samsung driver.
  • Enable USB debugging by going to Settings > Developers Options.
  • Download TWRP recovery for S7 Edge.

How to Install TWRP Galaxy S7 Edge:

Here are the simple steps to install or flash TWRP recovery Galaxy S7 Edge:

Step 1: First of all, download the required files as given in the download section above.

Step 2: Run Odin3 and leave the default settings.

Step 3: Turn off your device and reboot into download mode by holding and pressing the Volume down+Home+Power keys simultaneously till Android warning sign appears on the screen. Hit Volume up to continue.

Step 4: While in Odin mode connect your device to your PC.

Step 5: Hit the AP/PDA button and select the twrp-3.0.0-0-hero2lte.img.tar file.

Step 6: Click Start to flash the twrp recovery.

Step 7: Once completed, Odin will give Pass! Message and your device will automatically reboot.

That’s it guys! Finally just to make sure that TWRP is installed, you need to boot your phone into recovery mode. Power off, hold and press Vol up+Home+Power keys simultaneously for a few seconds to access the TWRP menu.
