How to speed up transitions on your Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9 Plus [Guide]

However, what if we told you that there was a way to make your Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus respond even faster? Well, there is a way and that can happen by speeding up transitions on both smartphones. Here is how this will work.

How to speed up transitions?

To access the transitions menu on both phones you will first need to enable Developer Options. How can you enable Developer Options? Follow the steps given below:

Settings >> About Phone >> Software Info >> Tap ‘Build Number’ 7 times.

This will bring up the Transitions & Animations options for you.

Now go to Developer Options, and you will be able to see three options in front of you.

  • Window animation scale
  • Transition animation scale
  • Animator duration scale

To speed up all transitions on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, change the value from 1x to 0.5x. This will make both devices slightly more responsive than before.

If you want to get more speed, you can simply turn off animations, though this is not something we would recommend because having a small number of animations is quite pleasing to the eyes.
