New Leak Shows Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s Camera Capabilities – Better Than The Galaxy S9?

Xiaomi is one of the companies which is gradually picking up the pace in the tech industry. From notebooks to smartphones and other products, the company is getting highly competitive. One of the hottest news these days is related to the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s which will be the successor to last year’s Xiaomi Mi Mix. the device is said to host a bunch of features which will put it on par and even better in some situations than other smartphone manufacturers.

The device is set to launch a few days from now and leaks are pouring in quick. Today, the camera capabilities of the handset have been leaked which clearly depicts the potential of the hardware and the company’s attempts to compete against the giants of the industry.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s To Feature Gigantic Camera Upgrade To Compete Against The Industry Giants

As per recent reports, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s is said to feature gigantic upgrades in the camera department, mainly the rear dual camera module CMOS. As reported by XDA Developers, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s is said to feature multi-frame noise reduction or MFNR, a portrait mode and a 1080p slow-motion capture with 120 frames per second. This is definitely one of the most enticing features of the smartphone.

Samsung’s Galaxy S9 has launched a few weeks ago and its camera is one of the most important updates. So how would the camera specs of the Mi Mix 2s compare against the Galaxy S9? For starters, it shoots slow-motion video in 1080p resolution at 120 fps, while the Galaxy S9 shoots at 720p resolution. However, do take note that the Galaxy S9 shoots at 960 fps, which adds as an important factor when we speak of the 720p resolution.

To fuel up the hi-end camera specs, Xiaomi is also expected to incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845. The processor is blazing fast and energy efficient to get a person going through the day. The MIUI camera app has also confirmed that the lens also supports optical zoom, a feature that complements the dual camera setup at the back of the device. The MFNR feature is supported by the Spectre 280 ISP which is integrated into the Snapdragon 845 processor.

However, we’re by no means stating that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s camera will be a clear winner as the competition is quite tough with the Galaxy S9, Google Pixel 2 and the iPhone X. However, more on it will depend on the in-hand comparison.
