Download and Install TWRP for Verizon Galaxy S4

Hey, What’s up? Imran back here with another step-by-step guide for the Verizon Galaxy S4 SCH-i545 on how to install TWRP custom recovery and get power access to your device.

Teamwin has officially released a working TWRP custom recovery for the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S4. Pre-requisites:

  • Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 with model number SCH-i545.
  • It is always a good step to backup everything on Android, before making any changes to your device.
  • Install Android terminal emulator app from Play Store.
  • Download TWRP recovery for your phone.

How to Install TWRP Galaxy S4 SCH-i545:

Here are the simple steps to install or flash TWRP recovery Galaxy S4 i545:

Step 1: First of all, download and install the required files as given in the section above.

Step 2: Rename the twrp-2.8.7.0-jfltevzw.img file to twrp.img.

Step 3: Copy twrp.img recovery file onto your phone.

Step 4: Run Terminal Emulator app.

Step 5: Now enter the following commands into the terminal window:

su
dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p21

That’s it guys! Finally just to make sure that TWRP is installed, you need to boot your phone into recovery mode. Power off, hold and press Vol up+Home+Power keys simultaneously for a few seconds to access the TWRP menu.
