Nokia 7 Plus could be the first 18:9 display phone from the company

Though news of this device has been disclosed with little to no accuracy, there is going to be some way for Nokia and HMD Global to cater to every nook and cranny of the smartphone market. That device that could cater to the mid-range category is the Nokia 7 Plus.

Nokia 7 Plus could be the first 18:9 display phone from the company

HMD Global, Nokia’s partner hailing from Finland is expected to disclose some exciting news to surprise us this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) trade show.

The new version of the Nokia 7 Plus is to be unveiled with certain changes and improvements that would be of an incredible and powerful mid-ranger. For China and other countries, the new Nokia 7 Plus could become a great addition to HMD’s portfolio of Android smartphones.

The details about this particular device are yet to be known completely to us, but here is what we know. On a surface level, it has been reported that Nokia 7 Plus would likely be an affordable device. It will feature a dual-lens (12MP + 13MP) Carl Zeiss rear camera and 4GB RAM/ 64GB ROM combo that will add a great deal to the overall mix if the price is just right.

The only drawback is that it comes with a Snapdragon 660 chipset, not a Snapdragon 845. Still, a Snapdragon 660 is more than capable of handling taxing operations on its own so we will not be too worried about this.

The list of specs that is seen to be leaked include details like:

  • 16-megapixel Carl Zeiss front camera with Tetracell technology
  • A huge 6-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass protection
  • Android 8.0 Oreo and USB Type-C port (supports quick charging).

We cannot completely vouch for the accuracy of these details as all the information comes from a source in China.
