Fortnite Battle Royale Hits The iOS App Store – You Can Download But Need An Invite To Play
Last week, Fortnite Battle Royale was teased to come on mobile. Now, the popular game is has hit the iOS App Store and is available to download. However, since the game is new, you would need an invite fro Epic Games or a friend to gain access. Similarly, the App Store marks the game as an “Invite Event” which means that you have the ability to download the game to your iPhone or iPad, but you will need an approved Epic Games account to play it.
Download Fortnite Battle Royale From The App Store And Apply For An Invite
The game was announced to come at a hefty 2GB and is available for devices running iOS 11. As for the supported devices, you will require an iPhone SE/iPhone 6s or newer models of the iPhone. For the iPad, it is supported on iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 4 or the 2017 iPad. However, be sure to keep in mind that the app requires an always-on and active internet connection.

The first thing that you need to do is head over to the Fortnite website and simply click on the “Sign Up for Email Invite” option. Once you do that you will be asked if you have already played Fortnite Battle Royale.If you have, Epic Games will add you to the lust and determine your progress and purchases from other devices and consoles once you log in.
However, for many of you who have not played the game, you will be required to make a new account to join the Fortnite for iOS waiting list. Apart from this, you will be asked to choose the device on which you will be primarily playing the game on. If one of your friends have already received an invite, you can ask them to send you one as well to rather than waiting for the company to approve your account.
If you don’t receive an invite right away, don’t worry. We’ll be adding new players regularly over the coming months. Players who receive invites from Epic will also get friend invite codes to share with others.
Epic Games has stated that it will continue to send out additional invites as servers are upgraded to handle more users. Once you are accepted into the game, you will receive an email from the company from where you can activate your account by logging in to the Fortnite app on iOS.
