Download and Install TWRP for Samsung Galaxy J7 SM-J700
Hey What’s up? I am here with another step-by-step guide on how you can easily download and install TWRP custom recovery on the Exynos variant of Galaxy J7 using Odin.
Custom Android recovery has more advance features as compare to stock and TWRP is one of the best recovery available for Android which is actively update and supported by the Teamwin. Once you have installed TWRP you can make full backup of ROM, get root access, flash custom kernels and easily flash Custom ROMs.
Pre-requisites:
- Samsung Galaxy J7 SM-J700.
- Before moving further backup important files.
- Download latest version of Samsung flash tool
- Download and install Samsung USB drivers.
- Enable USB debugging by going to Settings > Developers Options.
- Download TWRP recovery for Galaxy J7.
How to Install TWRP Galaxy J7 SM-J700:
Here are the simple steps to install or flash TWRP recovery Samsung Galaxy J7:
Step 1: First of all, download the required files as given in the download section above.
Step 2: Run Odin3 and leave the default settings.
Step 3: Turn off your device and reboot into download mode by holding and pressing the Volume down+Home+Power keys simultaneously till Android warning sign appears on the screen. Hit Volume up to continue.
Step 4: While in Odin mode connect your device to your PC.
Step 5: Hit the AP/PDA button and select the twrp-3.0.0-0-j7elte-j7elte.img.tar file.
Step 6: Click Start to flash the twrp recovery.
Step 7: Once completed, Odin will give Pass! Message and your device will automatically reboot.
That’s it guys! Finally just to make sure that TWRP is installed, you need to boot your phone into recovery mode. Power off, hold and press Vol up+Home+Power keys simultaneously for a few seconds to access the TWRP menu.
