Elon Musk’s OpenAI startup beats top Dota 2 player in the world
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the hottest topic right now in 2017 and tech giants like Google, Apple, Amazon, and Facebook are taking their best moves to dominate the market.
OpenAI is a non-profit AI research company co-founded by Elon Musk, that aims to promote and develop safe Artificial general intelligence in such a way as to benefit humanity.
As in the past, AI companies use video games to test their technology. Dota 2 is a pretty much-complicated game with numerous competitive scenes and could prove to be a good testbed for this startup.
OpneAI’s bot recently participated in Dota 2 championship and successfully defeated the world’s top professionals at 1v1 matches of Dota 2 under the standard tournament rules.
Elon Musk, who is more concern about the future of AI was pleased as he should be! And tweeted on Twitter about his start-up achievement:
OpenAI first ever to defeat world’s best players in competitive eSports. Vastly more complex than traditional board games like chess & Go.
