Elon Musk’s OpenAI startup beats top Dota 2 player in the world

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the hottest topic right now in 2017 and tech giants like Google, Apple, Amazon, and Facebook are taking their best moves to dominate the market.

OpenAI is a non-profit AI research company co-founded by Elon Musk, that aims to promote and develop safe Artificial general intelligence in such a way as to benefit humanity.

As in the past, AI companies use video games to test their technology. Dota 2 is a pretty much-complicated game with numerous competitive scenes and could prove to be a good testbed for this startup.

OpneAI’s bot recently participated in Dota 2 championship and successfully defeated the world’s top professionals at 1v1 matches of Dota 2 under the standard tournament rules.

Elon Musk, who is more concern about the future of AI was pleased as he should be! And tweeted on Twitter about his start-up achievement:

The match was live broadcasted on OpenAI official YouTube channel, below is the Livestream video:

“Over the past week, our bot was undefeated against many top professionals including SumaiL (top 1v1 player in the world) and Arteezy (top overall player in the world),” Brockman wrote on the official OpenAI blog.

Brockman is very excited and hopeful for the future of AI and their Startup and is aiming to achieve more to benefit humanity as a whole.
